Fused Glass Mezuzot
Here are 4 new Fused Glass Mezuzot.
Would you like to design your own?
Let’s do it together!
Mammoth Distilling – Up North!
Ari has been working for Mammoth Distilling based in Torch Lake, Michigan since the beginning of his distilling career.
The products are superior: Bourbon, Gin, Rum, Rye Whiskey, Vodka, Gin – and other items available only at their tasting rooms.
This is their logo; check out the night time view.
If you’re Up North (as we Michiganders like to call it), Mammoth has 3 Tasting Rooms: Traverse City, Torch Lake (Central Lake), and Bellaire. Drop by for a special treat.mammothdistilling.com

Lindsay and Smitty’s Loon on Clear Lake!
Lindsay tells me this is her Spirit Animal.
Is there a better Spirit for a lake?
I think not!
Nava: “Unicorns are Real!”
Fused Heart – Dove of Peace Hamsa
I created this fused heart a while ago from some scrap red and clear glass.
Then I thought how perfectly it might look in this Dove of Peace Hamsa.
Do you agree? Let me know.
Mazal Tov Nosson Tzvi – Bar Mitzva
Mazal Tov to Nosson Tzvi on the celebration
of becoming a Bar Mitzva on January 5th – the 28th of Tevet.
Below: A night time view of the glass in my studio.
Yet Another Dove!
Do we like the Dove facing East? Or West?
Clear? Or iridescent?

You Can’t Miss My House!
It’s the one with 3359 in the window! 😉

Gotta’ Give ‘Em Credit…
Just in time for THE GAME – Go Blue!
UM – OSU this Saturday.
UM hasn’t won in The Horseshoe since 2000!
Don’t you think it’s finally our turn? Can Harbaugh make it happen?
We’ll find out soon….
Chuppah Glass Repurposed – Maya and Eli
If you attend a Jewish wedding, grab the glass broken
under the chuppah and get it to me –
and we can work together to create a one of a kind gift.
Maya and Eli’s Ketuvah featured waves of water.
I worked to continue that theme.
Please click on the video to watch how it was created.
AHAVA -Love with Beveled Magen David
I’ve created a number of pieces with Beveled Glass but I’ve decided to include a video of this piece.
The life this brings to the piece is stunning.

Welcome to Temple Kol Haverim
Nahalal – Ann Arbor’s Sister “Moshav”
Nahalal is a Moshav in Israel and is the “Sister City” of the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor. A group of women recently traveled to Nahalal and commissioned me to create a piece of art to present to the Moshav.
Above is the finished piece; below is an aerial view of the Moshav. Note the fields radiating out from the central living space. I also wanted to include my initial sketch (minus the iconic water tower that needed to be included!)
The Dove of Peace – Flies over the Desert
This striking piece is framed is a beautiful Oak Wood Frame.
The Boston Red Sox – The Green Monster
There might be some who question why I framed my Boston Red Sox logo in green. Others will immediately see the connection to The Green Monster.
The Green Monster is a popular nickname for the 37.2 feet (11.3 m) high left field wall at Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team. The wall is 310 feet from home plate and is a popular target for right-handed hitters.
At the moment this piece is hanging in Rob Dobrusin’s office at Congregation Beth Israel in Ann Arbor. I’m happy to have had it hanging for opening day, 2018.
Y’hi Ohr — Let There Be Light!
Once again I found a piece of glass that inspired me to recreate
the Y’hi Ohr pattern.
The background depicts the primordial soup of creation,
Biblical or Big Bang —
You choose.
Having sold my Iconic Y’hi Ohr Piece,
it was time to update the concept with a modern font.
Shalom — Dove Of Peace
This is the second time I have used the pattern I designed.
The border is different and brings some additional light
to the art piece.
Yet Another Reminder of Spring
I’m SO looking forward to seeing that
first Blue Jay of the spring.
A Reminder of Summer
While there still a few leaves on the trees, I’m focusing on pieces that help me hold onto a little bit of summer – thus the Butterfly.
Coming soon – a Bluebird!
Mira and Doron Celebrate Life!
Each Piece of fused glass in this mobile represents the Birthstone of a Special Month in Mira and Doron’s lives.
Doron’s birthday and Mira and Doron’s Wedding in September is the beautiful Sapphire.
Peridot is Matan’s birthstone for August.
Mira’s birthday is in June represented by Alexandrite. These gemstones are extremely rare and desirable since they change color based on the lighting.
Shai’s birthday in March is celebrated by the Aquamarine.
And finally there’s Judah, whose November birthstone is Topaz!
All the pieces are hand etched in Hebrew.
The Hebrew Day School of Ann Arbor
My children attended, and now my grandchildren attend the HDS.
I created this piece of stained glass art using the school’s logo.
I’m looking forward to sharing it with the community at the JCC in Ann Arbor.

Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor
As far as I can tell, Ann Arbor is the only Jewish Federation
with a stained glass logo.
We’re #1!!
SOLLY ! !
In keeping with the tradition I started with the other “South Side Gang” celebration, here is my interpretation of “Solly”.
The first photo is of the corner of Solly’s tallit. The rainbow motif moved me to use it as a background for the Shlomo, Solly’s Hebrew name.
Mazal Tov Solly !
Giliah !
Below is the graphic from the invitation to Giliah’s Bat Mitzvah celebration. I love transforming inspirational graphic images into pieces of Stained Glass Art.
And I have the most fun by including the iridescence visible only after dark.
The Second Best Logo In Baseball ! (LOL)
“The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come,
and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;”
PLAY BALL ! !
MAC — The Dog
Is there Anyone who doesn’t Love Goldens?
Retrievers are loyal, loving and beautiful.
And my MAC is a prime example, don’t you think?
Tzedek – Work for Justice, Day and Night!
In these post-election times, it’s incumbent for All to work for Justice
both Day — and Night.
This piece appears quite different in the light of day
— as contrasted with the darkness of night.
Breaking the Wedding Glass – Mazal Tov!
Nearly everyone has seen this scene.
The Wedding Ceremony is over, except for one thing.
The attendees wait.
The groom raises his foot and crushes a glass wrapped in cloth.
The crowd rises, cheers, the couple kiss and walk back down the aisle –
a Happily Married Couple!!
Then — Ron runs up to grab the glass, and spirits it away….
Below you will see the steps to the finished product.
